I live off of Eglington West about a 10 minute walk from Eglington Station, its dark so i was being cautious and taking the bus to my home. The #5 came around the corner and i decided to take that bus instead of the #32. I walked, then ran to meet the bus at its spot, but the bus driver picked up one lady and quickly took off before i could get on (he didn't even bother to open the back door). I started banging on the bus to stop but he kept driving out of the station. I chased on foot and he came to the light at Duplex and Eglington West.

fyi

I live in the downtown area and my handle means always give that 30 seconds of respect when you face anyone who is in the customer service industry
but I also feel this is a 2 way street

as recently as last week I had to travel to an area I was unfamiliar with and had to ask a TTC "Professional" for directions

there was a woman in the ticket booth and she gave me the worst scowl you can imagine and it really made me nervous to even ask

I am the type of person who does show respect and I smile when I ask anyone about anything

Can you guess what Kinnear will say about these stories on this site? You guess right.
He told the media that anyone can put a name and say whatever and yet the media was able to confirm with the TTC worker that it was him that posted such inflammatory comments.

That plaque on the vehicles informing riders that it is a crime to assault a TTC worker should be removed. This is not a fair representation and gives visitors to Toronto a bad impression. This reflects arrogance/disrespects towards the riders. So instead of teaching the riders how to treat you that work for us start adjusting your attitude, serve as you are suppose to serve…. with people skills….

Today at St Clair west subway station, I asked a bus driver if she knew which of the buses or street cars in the station traveled north on St Clair. My first time in that subway station and since I did not want to waste time running from one car to the other I thought I would ask .Not only was she not helpful but her attitude was why would she know and drove away? Even if that was her first day doing that route is she so unaware that she had not noticed what traveled on the street as she pulled in and out of the station? SHE JUST DID NOT GIVE A DARN.

It should be said that there are some very polite and helpful TTC bus / streetcar drivers. I used to live in Europe, where many of the bus drivers were in the country I was living in were exceptionally rude. They would often literally wait until a running passenger reached the doors, and then would slam the doors shut in the person(s)'s face and drive off. They would also shout at passengers for no ral reason. I've rarely encoutered this here, so in some respects we are fortunate!

so blue light buses are supposed to run every 30-45 min? how about 1 and a half hour wait and ending up taking a cab home b/c if that bus did come. the driver would get kicked in the face for making me wait so long.

TTC is a fail.. cut the top fat and provide the service we are paying for
